Depuis les années 1970 et dans un contexte de mondialisation croissante, on observe une montée du multilinguisme dans la société qui se reflète dans les séries télévisées ou web, notamment celles des pays anglophones. Le français est particulièrement représenté et a le statut d’invité de marque du point de vue tant quantitatif (c’est la langue étrangère qui fournit le plus d’emprunts aux textes anglais) que qualitatif (on associe distinction, richesse culinaire, ou encore séduction à la langue française).
Cette situation linguistique est un vrai casse-tête pour les responsables de l’adaptation : comment traduire le français en français?
